'Face Off' forms one part of my Creative Arts Honours project at UOW, exploring “Affect”, simulation, and perception.

The viewer enters a dimly lit room to find two empty chairs facing each other. Upon sitting in the chair, somebody can be heard entering the room. After a few seconds, a figure appears in the opposite chair. There is a moment of recognition - a hologram of themselves. At first this virtual avatar seems like a mirror image, however the copy does not reflect the viewers movements. The imposter stares nervously for a moment, before disappearing once again.

If the viewer decides to stay seated, the visitations continue - this time from the memory of others who have previously confronted themselves.
